Becoming a Citizen of US/ Party at Planet Hollywood

On Friday June 27th,2008 I became a US Citizen. At noon that day, I completed my naturalization process - the official ceremony was held in Downtown of Las Vegas at the Federal court. After that, My friends and I were celebrating at the suite at the Planet Hollywood.

I really want to thank all my friends for being there for me. I hope you enjoyed the party. Your presence made that day very, very special for me. Even though I am far away from my home and family I know that, I am not alone and I can always count on you.

 THANK YOU!!!

Amy, Vance & Pink Cadillac

Yesterday I had the pleasure to meet Amy & Vance. This wonderful couple is from Texas and came to Las Vegas to get married by Elvis in a Pink Cadillac. It is almost like the beginning of a movie and believe me the whole night was much better than any of the movies made about Las Vegas' weddings. I was working , but I also had an incredibly good time- great company that is for sure, but just imagine: cruising through the Strip in a Pink Cadillac, Elvis behind the wheel,  wind in your hair... and love songs in the background ... The only thing you can do is- let go of all problems and really enjoy the moment... You are in Vegas and life is good... Everybody needs this feeling from time to time... and if you have a chance to do something that will help you to feel that way- just do it !!

Congratulations Amy & Vance!!!  Your wedding was full of Las Vegas magic and I was
happy to be a part of it!

Party Buses

Vegas- town of love and magic. There is probably a thousand and one ways to get married in Las Vegas - chapels, helicopters, the las vegas sign, Elvis, drive through, balloons and much more.  Today, I would like to mention party buses. They are fun and spacious- you can drive around the strip with your friends and during the ride have the time of your life. And that was the idea which Don & Michael implemented during their wedding last week.
Have a look!

Waterski

And now it is time for my experiences- not like you Guys care but I do.

I discovered  watersking for the first time two years ago. This sport requires a lot of energy and strength, but even though I am small and compact, it would never stop me from trying. So I went and did it 2 years ago, and this year I did again.

It was fun! And it was easy- I guess it is like with the bike- you never forget how to ride :)))

Below couple of photos.

Day at the Lake Mead

Today I had a very nice day at  Lake Mead. Before I tell you about my experiences, I would like to tell you a few words about the Lake itself.

Lake Mead is in a beautiful desert environment & is one of the largest man made lakes in the world with over 157,000 acres of water. But maybe not for too long ... Over the years the lake is getting smaller & smaller, there is less and less water in it. You can see how the level of the lake dropped down on a couple of the photos below- the white thick line on the mountains.

That is very sad and also can open discussion about global warming problem...  But for now I will leave it alone.

The Lake offers a variety of boating, skiing, swimming, fishing, photography, and sightseeing opportunities.

So if you have time and desire I recommend taking advantage of it since it is still there...

Shapes & Textures of Nature - Part 2

Shapes & Textures of Nature - Part 1

During my last trip to Arizona my friends & I visited the Botanical Gardens in Phoenix.
It was hot, but also absolutely beautiful. It is amazing what a marvelous and unexpected shape & texture nature can create.
Here are a few images from that day.

Workshop in Scottsdale

This short paragraph is a small tip for my fellow photographers.
If you are planning to dedicate your life (or a part of it :)) to capture the beauty of human beings from the day they are born, you should definitely consider attending one of the seminars of Sam Pac called "Bellies & babies".
This workshop is the first one from the educational program prepared by her for photographers.
I attendted this seminar and it was really good - very inspiring and filled with energy and lots of useful information.
Sam or Sandy (she is going by both names)is a great photographer, but also an amazing business person and wonderful human being- she raised 40 foster kids and co-founded
"Now i lay me down to sleep" Foundation.

You can read more about it on

Edina, Sam, Brenda, ME and Ferrrnando.

Trevor & Amber

Amber & Trevor are a very energetic couple from Canada.
I shot them during their short stay in Las Vegas. It was fun, fun, fun !!!
Congratulations to them!!! I hope they will keep their happy
and friendly spirit throughout  their lives.
